Great Lakes Dragaway 21SEPT08 Empty Great Lakes Dragaway 21SEPT08

Post  Admin Wed Sep 10, 2008 3:11 am

Currently, DrivNN is in the process of negotiating a track day / car show event at GLD located in Union Grove, WI. The details have not been "iron-out" as of yet but once I get further details, I will be sure to post more information. Please continue to check the forum for future updates. As it stands, I have four cars registered. These cars are two 350Z's from Chicago 350Z (bwicked and Godfather7), an Acura NSX, and a Porsche 996TT.

Cost of admission is currently being negotiated for forum members as well as a group discount for those interested in tracking their car once they arrive. Lastly, I am trying to make arrangements for those interested in showing their car to only have to pay a $5 showing fee instead of the discount cost of admission. Stay tuned for updates.

Great Lakes Dragaway 21SEPT08 Empty Details for the Great Lakes Dragaway Event

Post  Admin Wed Sep 10, 2008 6:58 pm

First and foremost, I have to apologize for all the confusion as to websites/ forums to gather information. I am currently building a stand alone site with a built in race discussion forum. The site is currently down and under construction and should be fully functional by next week. Once it is complete, it will be an interactive site to view videos of track events, shows, and all other videos car related. In addition, there will be a "3D" picture gallery, a driver profiles page which essentially outlines the driver and his car, and of course as I stated, a built in race forum.

With that being said, here are the details for the event on Sunday September 21st, 2008. The "Event" will start at noon and run into 5pm. However, if you would like to get there earlier, the track will actually be opened at 9am. I was able to work out a deal with GLD to have drivers pay only $20 instead of the full $40 charge to track their cars. In order to get the DrivNN price for this event, you will need to present a passcode at the admissions window. For spectators, I was able to negotiate a $5 reduction from $15 to $10.

As it stands, I currently have 4 drivers registered to be sponsored for the event, two 350Z's, an NSX, and a Porsche 996TT. I am currently posting information on other forums to draw interest from other car clubs so if you know of anyone interested in tracking their car or attending as a spectator, feel free to pass on the information. There are 6 more spots available so if you would like to be considered for sponsorship(sponsorship means DrivNN will pay your track fee if selected), please contact me at the email address listed below with just your first name, and make and model of car. Once I've received your information, I will then register your vehicle with GLD and send you a confirmation code.

Lastly, remember to support the DrivNN site. Free track time, events, and contest are made possible through you and without your support, DrivNN will no longer be able to offer these perks to the readers. Thanks again.
